» HEALTH & FAMILY WELFARE Health is considered as Fundamental human rights. Bhairabi Club from its very year of inception has been actively implemented health & family welfare programme to fulfill the basic needs of people this organisation taken initiative providing preventive, promotive and curative health facilities to the people of Khurda District. a. PULSPOLLIO ERADICATION PROGRAMME :- This organisation organise the series of Pulspollio Campaign to the general Public and assist the PHC Haladia for success of the programme. b. MOBILE MEDICAL UNIT AT-KUNJURI In collaboration with District Administration and District Red Cross Society, Khurda an Mobile Medical Unit programme was launched in 6th June, 2006 at Kunjuri G.P. of Tangi Block, in Khurda District which is remote and inaccessible area of Khurda district. The Mobile unit was inaugurated by hi excellency Governor of Orissa Sj. Rameswar Thakur, Sj. Duryodhan Majhi, Minister Health and Family Welfare, Government of Orissa. This Mobile Medical Unit is functioning twice in a month i.e. at Kunjuri G.P. Office 2nd & 4th Friday of each month. A team of Doctor, Pharmacist and other Paramedical staffs were visited the area and provide, preventive, promotive and curative health facilities to the people at their doorstep. During the year 1601 case were registered and provided treatment. 3 schools were visited and the health checkup were done for 81 students, 26 cases were refered to Hospital and Blood slide were also collected. c. MOBILE MEDICAL UNIT AT-ORABARSINGH :- During the year 2007-08 another Mobile Medical Unit was functioning at Orabarsingh in a month i.e. 2nd Sunday of each month. About 650 cases were provided health care facilities. d. SPECIAL HEALTH CHECKUP CAMP ON THE OCCASION OF WORLD HEALTH DAY

f. REPRODUCTIVE & CHILD HEALTH (RCH) :- An orientation Training & Thematic competition camp was organised for the adolescent boys & girls during the month of March 2008. Bhairabi Club was implemented Reproductive and Child Health Project in Narangarh, Orabarsingh, Dhaulimuhan and Brajamohanpur Grama Panchayat of Khurda Block since September 1999 to 31st March 2003. The objective of the programme was improving over all health and nutritional status of reproductive age group women, adolescents and children. This programme was assisted jointly by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and Mother NGO AKSS, Puri.
In collaboration with District Red Cross Society this organisation organize Blood Donation Camp regulars. During this year a Blood Donation Camp was organised at the Prananath Mahavidyalaya, Khurda. h. HIV/ AIDS AWARENESS PROGRAMME :- To right against HIV/ AIDS and sensitize the general Public one awareness generation camps were organised in the premises of Residential Primary School, Lekhanpur, in Ranpur Block of Nayagarh district. The School Teacher & General Public were benefited by this programme.
In collaboration with Taluk Legal Service Committee Khurda, a Mental Health Awareness Camp organised in the premises of Short Stay Home, Khurda on 4th October 2007. Sri Dukhishyam Chaulia, Addl. District Judge inaugurated the programme. Sri Radhashyam Mishra, Subjudge, Bidhan Kumar Chand, SDJM, Khurda Civil Court participate the programme as resource person. The inmates of Short Stay Home and persons with disabilities of Bhairabi Special School for the Multiple Handicapped benefited by the programme. |
