» RURAL DEVELOPMENT

In India Seventy Five percent of people lives in rural area. Therefore, the development of the rural people is in evitable for all. Bhairabi Club which sole aim is to develop the status and capacity of the rural masses and to established a society on value of equity, social justice and peace. So the priority will always given for rural development.

a. WATER & SANITATION PROGRAMME (WATSAN) :-

Nirmal Grama Panchayat Yozana jointly implemented in Narangarh G.P. by this NGO Bhairabi Club and VJSS. The outstanding achievement in Total Sanitation Programme finally awarded Nirmal Panchayat Award by his Excellency Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam during the year 2006-07.

During the year under report this organisations implemented total sanitation programme in Godipada G.P. of Khurda Block.

b. IEC ACTIVITIES :-

The IEC activities were under taken in the project area to create awareness among the people with regard to linking sanitation with health organize Debate, Essay Competition, Rally and Poster Campaigning, walling and Slogan writing etc. were organised. This programme is not only construction of household latrine but also a complete health package i.e. encompassing disposal, management of waste, supply of safe drinking water and maintaining personal food and environmental hygiene. For this purpose this organisation involve the District administration, District Water and Sanitation Mission, PRI Members, Block Development Officer, Teachers, ICDS functionaries and SHGs Members, Village Leader in IEC activities.
