» YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

An Youth Development Programme was organised during the year 2007-08 by Bhairabi Club by its own sources. Tow days programme were organised in the premises of Bhairabi Club. About 30 youth of different villages, NGOs, College Students this locality participate in the programme.

Youth emerge as an powerful social group. Their role in education, art and culture, sports, science and technology and politics has been significant and directly contributed to the development of India. How ever, Youth today are much more informed and are capable of doing a lot. Therefore, the endeavour of Govt./ Non-Govt. organisation to mobilize and harness the potential of Youth in differentfied and to build up the nation.

Youth accounts for more than one third of our total population. Youth possess immense strength and energy, if may adversely affect the youth themselves, their families and the society as a whole. To utilize the youth and became a productive citizens this organisation implemented various welfare and developmental programme for the youth and integrated the youth in various projects.

a. VOCATIONAL TRAINING ON YOUTH

In collaboration with Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports this organisation implemented Vocational Training Programme for the youth during the year 2005-06. 30 rural women were trained in the trade of Handloom weaving. Presently the beneficiaries were self-sufficient.

b. CAPACITY BUILDING & SKILL UP-GRADATION TRAINING FOR ARTISANS YOUTH ON STONE CARVING IN A CLUSTER APPROACH :-

A Capacity Building & Skill up-gradation Training Programme was organised for the Artisan Youth of Narangarh (Kurumpada) Cluster from June 2007 to February 2008. Under State Employment Mission in collaboration with State Institute of Development of Arts & Craft & Bhairabi Industrial Co-operative Society for this purpose 4 artisans Self Help Group were promoted and provided Design Development, Skill up-gradation and Capacity Building. Stipend, Raw materials, Tool kits & margin money was provided to each group.

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT TRAINING :-

After Skill up-gradation Training a Design Development Training were given to the artisan by Expert Designer. The details of groups are given below :

c. AWARENESS GENERATION PROGRAMME FOR SHG MEMBERS OF STONE CARVING CLUSTER :-

An Awareness Generation Programme were organised on 6^th July 2007 for the Artisans. About 66 Artisans and aware about the scheme of State Employment Mission towards self-employment.

d. YOUTH CLUB DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME :-

In collaboration with Nehru Yuba Kendra, Khurda this organisation organize Youth Club Development Programme at Narangarh of Khurda Block from 27.9.2005 to 1.10.2005. About representative of 40 Youth Club were participated in the training programme. The aim of the training programme was how to form and manage the Youth Clubs in rural area.
