Bhairabi Club, Kurumpada, Khurda is a leading Non-Governmental Voluntary organisation in the State of Orissa having gained unique experience and expertise in the Social Welfare and developmental sector.

This organisation has always take tireless initiative to complementing and supplementing the efforts of the Government in different Social and Developmental programmes/ projects implemented in the State. Bhairabi Club emphasized on establishes people’s organisation, Participatory action and Participatory Learning which can help collectively with confidence for the stake holders for their own development. During the year 2007-08 new strategic plan have been proposed for the empowerment and self-employment of the women, Persons with Disabilities, injecting drug users and youth under Below Poverty Line and reduction of Child Laborers. As such two new projects have been launched i.e. National Child Labourer Project and Remote Area funding of National Trust for the welfare of Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation & Multiple Disabilities.

In our endeavor for the excellence performance of one intellectually challenged children Mr. Rashmi Ranjan Mohanty who was participated in Special Olympic World Games-2007 at Sanghai, China from 2^nd to October 11, 2007 and bagged one Silver Medal.

The Services and facilities rendering for the stake holders haunts in 30^th years of existence that there is still lot of demand from the society at a large, which are not in a position to meet owing to various constraints. But the activist of the institution tries to their level best to meet that dreams.

The Annual Report 2007-08 gives a profile of Bhairabi Club in concept as well as in practice. The project implemented in different districts and thrust areas and the physical and financial progress & achievement are very elaborately presented. I wish the reports will be beneficial for the readers, well wishes and donors.

State Employment Mission, SIDAC, State Social Welfare Board Deptt., Health & Family Welfare, State AIDs Cell, CAPART and National/ International organisation i.e. UNDP, UNODC (ROSA) OXFAM, Red cross, NIPCCD, NHFWI, District Collector & District Administrative Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam and Boudh, Sarva Sikhya Avijan, Khordha, DWO, District Social Welfare Officer, DLO, Khurda, Ganjam, Nayagarh and Bouth, SIRD and NGOs for their cooperation assistance & technical guidance.

Finally I also thanks to my colleagues, staff and volunteers and well wishers for their dedication and hard work enable us to reach at this stage.
